Membership Holds

When to Use a Hold

A membership hold may be applied for:

  • Injury or illness

  • Travel or holidays

  • Short-term personal circumstances

All holds must have a clear start and end date.

Step 1: Member Completes Hold Request Form

Before applying a hold, ensure the member has completed the appropriate form.

Once the hold has been processed, send a confirmation email to the member.

Important:
Do not apply a hold without confirming it in writing

Membership Cancellations

When to Process a Cancellation

Cancellations should only be processed:

  • After the member has submitted the cancellation form

  • In line with their membership agreement

If a member is unsure or upset, pause and escalate the conversation.
